STILLWATER – Mother Nature was in a much better mood and treating college football players and the Extreme Campers that arrived for their three-day event with some cooler temperatures and overcast skies. Friday’s practice was the second of camp in shoulder pads and it was still physical and players were ready to get after it following a day off. Head coach Mike Gundy thought the attitude was good, the effort and practice was good.

Good article and I love that the energy was good, but with all due respect is that all that was of note during practice? I would like to read about standout guys or 1on1 matchups and how they performed, or if one position groups looks great compared to another one, thanks Robert!

What about the defense? Here is the short answer: if the numerous transfers cannot beat out anyone who started for us last year (including anyone with the last name of Smith) we are in real trouble. It's not like we did not see their capability (or lack of) for 12 games last year. All you have to do is turn on the tape. I'm hopeful that the transfers will take over on defense because if they don't, we are looking at another LONG season.

Agreed, these aren't "practice reports".

SMH..... it's only day 2 with some pads on, what the heck are some of you expecting from practice reports at this stage? The guys are still learning their plays, and they're not fully dressed out yet.

Any roster moves or shake out will happen over the next couple of weeks.

I'm not looking for depth charts, I am just looking for something that's worth really paying for, to me this is just simply not a premium write-up about practice, it feels like I've read these same paragraphs multiple times this summer. And no disrespect to Zach or Robert, but if I pay for VIP beat writing, I just expect more. NFL beat teams give way more details to VIP members, like $10 a month for practice mailbags and other good info, while still not revealing too much. Gundy's "Iron Curtain" strategy is barbaric and unnecessary, people knew our whole playbook last year anyway. Something like "New transfer ______ looked good in this drill, great footwork and plays big". Anyways

And I don't think it's disrespectful of me to give fair criticism when I am someone who is literally paying for content, I just want to see Pokes Report improve! I am also not discounting their great work over the years, but is 100% fair to expect more as a paying customer
