Rams Welcome Brennan Presley and A.J. Green Back to Practice Squad
STILLWATER – It worked out for the Los Angeles Rams as they waived undrafted free agent rookie sensations Brennan Presley, for Oklahoma State, and bulldozing running back Cody Schrader as both those players passed the 24-hours on waivers and were signed by the Rams totheir practice squad. Los Angeles added 15 players to the potential 16-team practice squad and that included veteran cornerback A.J. Green, another former Oklahoma State player.
Green is a veteran that was with the Cleveland Browns for three seasons and then was signed and was briefly with the Minnesota Vikings. Green signed free agent this offseason with the Rams. In his NFL carrer he has 40 tackles, two fumble recoveries, seven pass break-ups, and two interceptions.
Presley was dynamic this preseason as he finished the three game preparation for the season with 11 receptions for 164-yards, a 14.9-yds. per catch, and a touchdown vs, the Dallas Cowboys. His longest reception, a 40-yarder set up the winning touchdown vs. the Los Angeles Chargers in week two.
Presley has rushed for 38-yards on five carries this preseason and had two kickoff returns for a total of 45-yards. In today’s preseason finale at Clevleand, a 19-17 loss to the Browns, Presley had three rushes for 23-yards and three receptions for 51-yards on three targets.
The Rams own website stated it would not be surprising to see him added to the 53-man roster at some point this season and see game action.
