STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball improved to 29-5 (5-1 Big 12) on the season with a walk-off win against the Iowa State Cyclones (23-11, 0-6 Big 12).
Cowgirl ace Carrie Eberle (12-1, 0.66 ERA) got her second start of the weekend, pitching 8.0 innings in the walk-off victory. Eberle allowed just one earned run while striking out eight Cyclones.
Returning All-American Alysen Febrey (2-for-4, RBI) had two hits on the day, including a solo home run in the first inning to give the Cowgirls the early lead.
In the pitcher’s duel, the Cyclones returned a solo homer in the fifth inning.
In the eighth inning, Kiley Naomi recorded her first hit of the day before moving into scoring position via a Chyenne Factor sac bunt.
Hayley Busby secured the extra-inning walk-off win for the Cowgirls with a single to right field.
Oklahoma State will be back in action next weekend against Texas Tech.
