STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is hosting Baylor for the Pokes’ Big 12 opener. This also marks the first time in 309 consecutive games Mike Gundy won’t be on the sidelines at an OSU football game.

Offensive coordinator Doug Meacham was promoted to the interim head coach on tuesday after Gundy was fired. Gundy met with the team Tuesday evening after practice and challenged the Cowboys to battle and beat Baylor.

That game’s today, so we’re going to be taking a look at trying to predict five stats for the Pokes. Even though it’s Over/Under, much like Vegas, you can choose to push a topic if you feel it won’t be over or under.

Over/under three offensive touchdowns

The Cowboys have struggled mightily getting the ball into the end zone against FBS opponents going back to last year. The were shutout in the season finale against Colorado, didn’t get into the end zone against Oregon in week two, and scored just one touchdown against Tulsa. The Bears are allowing just over 29 points per game.

Can the Cowboys rally after the firing of Mike Gundy and find their way into the end zone at least three times?

Over/under 200 passing yards from Zane Flores

Flores has gotten better with each snap he takes, going 25-of-40 for 214 yards against Tulsa. Those numbers come with at least five pure drops from receivers, or else his numbers would be closer to 300 yards. The Bears are allowing 181 passing yards in their first four games. Can Zane at least 200 yards?

Over/under one sack

The defense has not been good at pressuring the quarterback in the past two games, recording zero sacks against Oregon and Tulsa. This game needs to be a bounce back game for the defense. Yes, Baylor is better than Tulsa. Yes, the Cowboys have struggled on the defensive side of the ball. The Bears have allowed eight sacks in four games. Can the Pokes get at least one?

Over/under one forced turnover

The Bears have lost four fumbles on the year and have thrown three interceptions. Can the Cowboys force at least one turnover?

Over/under two made field goals

Logan Ward hit a 35-yard field goal and a 49-yard field goal against Tulsa last week. Can he replicate that against Baylor?
