STILLWATER – Oklahoma State defensive tackle De’Marion Thomas has elected to redshirt the remainder of the year. The good news, however, is Pokes Report has learned Thomas is remaining with the team and is continuing to practice instead of entering the transfer portal.
Now, that doesn’t limit him from entering the portal at the end of the season. It will be up to the new head coach and his coaching staff to try and retain any player they feel is good enough to make an impact moving forward.
He could also elect to enter the portal before the end of the 30-day period at the end of October.

Thomas is a junior out of Tulsa (OK) Union who transferred to Stillwater from Vanderbilt during the offseason. Through the first four games of the season, Thomas has recorded 13 total tackles, four against UT Martin and Tulsa, three against Oregon and two against Baylor. He also has half a tackle for loss.
There are currently three OSU players in the transfer portal as of Oct. 1 with long snapper Shea Freibaum and safeties Dylan Smith and DeAndre Boykins.
