STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is looking to snap an 11-game Big 12 losing streak, and 13-straight FBS games, as the Pokes play host to Houston. The Cougars are currently 4-1 on the season, but are coming off a 35-11 loss to Texas Tech last week. They also beat Colorado 36-20 in their Big 12 opener.
Here’s our five Over/Under selections for you to decide on. Even though it’s Over/Under, much like Vegas, you can choose to push a topic if you feel it won’t be over or under.
Over/Under 100 passing yards
Really at no point did I ever anticipate using the 100-yard mark as a barometer, yet here we are. The Cowboys are down two quarterbacks as Hauss Hejny got hurt in the season opener and Zane Flores left the Arizona game with an upper body injury. As for Friday afternoon, it appears wide receiver, and former P4 quarterback Sam Jackson V is getting the start. Can he clear the 100-yard mark?
Over/Under one offensive touchdown
Much like the first Over/Under, at no point did I think I’d be going with one offensive touchdown, yet here we are. The Cowboys’ offense failed to get into the end zone last week out in the desert. The Cougars won’t be the best defense OSU faces this season, but they’re very good. They give up just over 320 yards per game and just under 18 points per game.
Over/Under three defensive sacks
The Cowboys had one of their best games in a long time getting after the quarterback against Arizona, recording six sacks. Can they keep the hot streak going against Houston?
Over/Under one turnover
The Cougars have three interceptions through on the season, two coming from Conner Weigman and one from Zeon Chriss. They’ve had five fumbles, but only one of them were lost. Can the Cowboys force at least one turnover following forcing three against Arizona?
Over/Under two field goals
Logan Ward has been very solid this season for the Cowboys, going 9-of-10 this year, 1-of-1 on kicks 20-29 yards, 3-of-3 on kicks of 30-39 yards and 5-of-6 on kicks 40-49 yards. Can Ward knock home at least two fields against Houston?
