STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has lost another commitment in the 2026 class, this time coming from four-star defensive tackle out of Owasso (OK) HS, Tajh Overton.

This comes after a visit up to Columbia, MO, for a visit as the Tigers hosted Alabama this past weekend.

Overton checks in at 6-3, 275 pounds and has helped the Rams to a 4-2 start. He’s currently listed as a top 300 prospect in the ’26 class, with 247Sports listing him as the No. 177 overall prospect in the country.

Overton had been committed to the Pokes since late June and is latest to decommit following the firing of former head coach Mike Gundy. Of the 15 prospects committed coming into the season, nine have decommitted, including six of the seven in-state commits.

Four-star running back Kaydin Jones announced a commitment to Kansas, then rushed for more than 400 yards and scored eight touchdowns on Friday, Edmond (OK) Santa Fe defensive lineman Landen Anderson announced a commitment to Arizona State and Lexington (TX) HS QB Kase Evans announced a commitment to Iowa State.

Yet another tough, but no unexpected loss to the Pokes’ recruiting class.
