STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is back in action this week as they play host to No. 24 Cincinnati for Homecoming.

Doug Meacham met with the media Monday morning to put a bow on the loss to Houston and to look ahead to the Bearcats.

Here’s what he had to say about the Bearcats’ defense.

“There’s times you gotta put it in the equation in terms of the O-line play. They have to factor him in, put him in the count and to account for him. Because it looks like a 4-5 man job, it’s actually a 6-man box most of the time, him included. So you have to kind of presnap that look. He’s a little bit lower at times than the other guys, or he’s a little bit higher. You have to gauge whether or not you want to put him in the equation in terms of who you target. It’s the center’s job, primarily. Then you gotta find ways to RPO the guy, play-action him, stuff like that. Looks like a super light box. It’s actually not. The whole point of it is, originally, you’re sitting there, a guy’s making 9 million tackles, he’s not even being factored into the running equation. And he’s basically a middle linebacker coming down through there. So it’s RPO game, and it’s just counting men.”
