and I think that somebody will pick up Avery... he's that good, IMO. We'll see.
so, we should have at least 2, even if we give up one to penalty.
STILLWATER – While there hasn’t been a lot of noise on the high school front of the 2021 class, Oklahoma State is in the mix to land Oak Hill Academy shooting guard Jalen Ricks.
Ricks dropped his final 8 schools list earlier this week, which included Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Georgia State, Ohio, Oral Roberts, Southern Illinois, TCU and Towson.
Early predictions show Arkansas is the favorites to land Ricks as he originally out of Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, AR.
Jalen Ricks, originally out of Arkansas, is a 6-6 shooting guard for the prestigious Oak Hill Academy. This past season, Ricks averaged 10.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. That included a 25-point performance against Montverde on Jan. 30, Cade Cunningham’s former team and eventual 2021 national champs.
As I’ve written about before, Boynton and Co. currently have two scholarships to work with during the spring signing period as Cunningham is headed to the NBA and Ferron Flavors Jr. is in the transfer portal. The NCAA has yet to announce its ruling on Oklahoma State’s appeal to the penalties announced last June, so it’s very possible the scholarship situation could change here soon. It’s also possible Boynton and Co. land a transfer or two, which you can read about here.
Ricks is currently ranked as the No. 196 prospect in the class and the 44th shooting guard in the country.
