STILLWATER – The current state and the conditions of this new era of college football continue to go against the grain of the sport’s past and the good sense of what it means to be on a team and finish a season that was started. On3 and their TCU site reported Oklahoma State offensive lineman Noah McKinney has commited to, and signed a deal with TCU for next year and season.

McKinney went into the transfer portal on Oct.

C'est la vie. In the current environment you win some and you lose some.

The whole system is broken and I won't be disappointed if/when it all collapses. I feel less compelled by the day to watch college sports, a reckoning day is coming.

I'm not sure I followed that story, RA.

Your Editorial talks about players not being able to take trips while in the Portal (etc), but in the article you said that the NCAA already corrected the problem by not allowing the 30-day portal entry after coaches are fired.

If they're not going to be allowed to enter the portal immediately after a coach firing, then isn't the editorial comment a moot point?

or... is it an issue of not being able to remove yourself from the portal? or is it something else?

clearly I missed the point you were trying to make. I'm just trying to understand since this is all so new and fluid.
