STILLWATER – Oklahoma State edge rusher Wendell Gregory was just tabbed the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year.

He is the fifth OSU freshman to earn the award, the third player in the past five seasons.

Gregory was also tabbed an All-Big 12 Third Team selection, the first OSU defensive lineman to earn all-conference honors since Collin Oliver in 2021.

Gregory finished the season with 27 total tackles, 19 of which were solo stops. He led all FBS freshmen with 12 tackles for loss. He also had four sacks, seven quarterback hurries and one force fumble and one pass break up apiece.

Along with Gregory, Wes Pahl was tabbed the Big 12 First Team punter, becoming the first OSU punter to earn conference honors since Zach Sinor in 2016 and the first OSU punter to earn First Team honors since Quinn Sharp in 2012.

Pahl led all Big 12 players with 46.48 yards per punt, which ranked eighth in the FBS. He set the school record for yards per punt, which broke the school record he set last season.

Offensive lineman Bob Schick and linebacker Brandon Rawls were tabbed All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
