STILLWATER – It appears Oklahoma State is losing some experience from the interior defensive line. According to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos, defensive lineman De’Marion Thomas is set to enter the transfer portal. Actually, Pokes Report in our summation of what the new staff has left on the roster and the players that intended to leave, we did not have Thomas on the roster for the future. This was a foregone conclusion.
Thomas elected to sit out the remainder of the 2025 season and redshirt almost immediately after Mike Gundy was fired in late September.
Thomas transferred to OSU from Vanderbilt during the offseason and was slated to play a big role in the Pokes’ defense in both the 2025 and upcoming 2026 season as a redshirt junior.
Prior to him announcing a redshirt season, Thomas had recorded 13 total tackles through the first four games of the season. He had four against UT Martin and Tulsa, three against Oregon and two against Baylor. He also has half a tackle for loss.
This marks the 33rd OSU player to enter the transfer portal, with Thomas already being listed on our portal tracker as a redshirt.
