STILLWATER – One of the best quarterbacks in the country this past season is set to visit Oklahoma State this weekend. According to a report from ESPN, Drew Mestemaker will take an official visit to Stillwater beginning Saturday, January 3.

Mestemaker, who played for Eric Morris at North Texas this past season, led the nation in passing with 4,379 yards and 34 touchdowns on nearly 70% completion.

Earlier this weekend, Robert Allen reported Mestemaker’s agents and Oklahoma State had agreed upon a two-year contract worth $7 million. That makes him the highest-paid Oklahoma State football player by a long-shot, with running back Ollie Gordon II holding the top spot before that at $900,000 in 2024.

One of Mestemaker’s top playmakers this past season, one part of the ‘big three,’ wide receiver Wyatt Young, is also set to be in Stillwater this weekend.

Recording the second most receiving yards by a player in a season in UNT history, Young hauled in 1,264 yards and 10 touchdowns, doing his part of the best offense in the FBS, an offense that combined for 512 yards of total offense.

The third part of the Mean Green three-headed monster, running back Caleb Hawkins, was one of the best running backs in the country with 231 carries for 1,434 yards and 25 touchdowns.
