STILLWATER – Oklahoma State added another Division II player out of the transfer portal (41st player overall) in University of Central Oklahoma running back William Mason. This past season as junior, Mason carried 124 times for 735-yards and five touchdowns. He also caught five passes for 49-yards and a touchdown. He returned some kicks and played special teams and made a few tackles in kick coverage.
Mason is a big back at 6-2, 225 pounds and could provide some all around depth including special teams.
His sophomore season at UCO he earned reps as the season went on rushing 150 times for 827-yards and seven touchdowns. He played just a little as a freshman but still played in seven games, primarily on special teams.
Mason is the fourth running back that Oklahoma State has picked up in the transfer portal. They have two high school running backs, one signed and one committed. They had all the running backs from the past or current squad go into the transfer portal.
He is an Oklahoma product that went to high school at Coweta. As a junior, he rushed 132 time for 906-yards and had 12 touchdowns.
