STILLWATER – Eric Morris and Co. have added another linebacker out of the transfer portal, this time an in-state standout from Bixby. Jack Puckett, a D2 All-American linebacker from UCO took to social media Tuesday morning to announce he’s committed to Oklahoma State.
Puckett checks in at 6-1, 240 pounds and played his high school ball at Bixby.
This past season in 10 games as a junior, Puckett recorded 63 total tackles, 35 of which were solo stops, with 13 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, two quarterback hurries, two pass break ups and one interception.
He was one of the best linebackers in the country in 2024 as he played and started in all 13 games for the Bronchos. He recorded 102 total tackles as a sophomore, 55 of which were solo stops, with 15 tackles for loss, seven sacks three pass break ups and one forced fumble.
His season earned him First Team All-MIAA honors, as well as First Team All-Region and First Team All-American honors. He helped lead the Bronchos to their first MIAA title in 12 years.
Puckett’s redshirt freshman season was really good as well as he recorded 62 tackles, led the team in tackles for loss with 10.5 and 3.5 sacks.
Puckett is now the 45th player out of the portal for Morris and Co.
