Natasha Mack Chosen by Chicago in 2nd Round of WNBA Draft
STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Natasha Mack became the sixth player in program history to be selected in the WNBA Draft, going to the Chicago Sky in the second round (No. 16 overall) on Thursday evening. With her selection, Mack is the first Cowgirl to be taken since Loryn Goodwin was picked by Dallas in 2018. She is the third player in OSU history to be selected in the second round, joining Tiffany Bias and Goodwin. Mack completed her two-year run in Stillwater as one of the most decorated players in program history this past season.
The Lufkin, Texas native was named the Naismith Women's Defensive Player of the Year as well as the WBCA NCAA Division I Defensive Player of the Year.
Mack received All-America honors from six different outlets, garnering second-team recognition from ESPN.com, Sports Illustrated and World Exposure Report as well as third-team honors from the Associated Press, The Athletic and the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
The Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and unanimous Big 12 All-Defensive Team and first-team all-league selection, Mack was also a finalist for the Katrina McClain Award, which is given to the nation's top power forward. She also appeared on the Wade Trophy Watch List, the Naismith Award Midseason Team and was tabbed as the Big 12 Player of the Week on three occasions.
This season, Mack broke her own school single-season mark with 112 blocks, the nation's best total as well. Her 4.0 blocks per game also lead the country and were more than two per game more than any other player in the Big 12.
At the offensive end of the floor, she ranked fifth among league players with her 19.8 points per game and was third in field-goal percentage (52.9 percent).
