STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball checks in at No. 2 in the Big 12 preseason poll, which was released on Wednesday morning.

The Cowgirls received 87 points and one first-place vote, behind Texas Tech, who received 100 points and all 10 first-place votes.

Arizona and Arizona State are tied for third and UCF rounded out the top five in fifth.

OSU was also one of four teams with multiple All-Big 12 honors with pitcher Ruby Meylan tabbed as a unanimous selection and infielder Rosie Davis earning a selection as well.

Kenny Gajewski and select players met with the media earlier Wednesday morning and Robert Allen interviewed Meylan on Triple Play Sports Radio. So, Pokes report will have more complete softball coverage later in the day.
