STILLWATER – It took a few weeks but Oklahoma State football has officially announced the signed of quarterback, Drew Mestemaker.
Mestemaker was a four-star prospect out of transfer portal from North Texas and widely considered by several recruiting entities to be one of the best quarterbacks in the country.
Mestermaker checks in at 6-4, 211 pounds, and is coming off his redshirt freshman season with the Mean Green. And what a season it was as he led the nation in passing yards with 4,379 yards and passing touchdowns with 34 on 69% passing.
He also had 57 carries for 89 yards and five touchdowns.
Originally out of Vandegrift HS and Austin, TX, Mestemaker walked on at UNT as a true freshman before bursting onto the scene this past season.
Oklahoma State fans will get their first look at QB1 as he’s set to lead Cowboy wrestling out of the tunnel ahead of the Iowa State dual on Sunday.
