Oklahoma State Adds Another for Wednesday's Signing Day with WR Dayvon Standard
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is one of the few schools that has room to make it an eventful Feb. 4 signing date and the number for the Pokes is up to five with the commitment of Goodyear (Desert Edge), Ariz. wide receiver Dayvon Standard. The 6-4, 185 pound Standard took to Twitter/X to make his pledge to the Cowboys on Monday (Feb. 2) afternoon.
This past season, Standard had 23 receptions for 463-yards (20.1-ypr) and 10 touchdowns. You can see that is impressive production per catch for just 23 receptions.
Standard has four scholarship offers recently picking up the Cowboys and Cal-Berkely after previously getting offers from UMass and Idaho.
He is a three-sport athlete as a prep playing football, basketball, and track.
His junior season in football (click to see highlights) was a massive stat stuffer year with 52 receptions for 717-yards, seven touchdowns, and an averaage of 13.8-yards per catch. On defense he had 26 total tackles, 16 unassisted with a tackle-for-loss, two interceptions, two fumbles recovered, and one fumble forced.
As a sophomore, Standard had 23 receptions for 249-yards, three touchdowns, and a 19.2-yard pre catch average.
In basketball, he averaged 8.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game as a junior. His track bests include 23.17 seconds for the 200-meters, 52.39 seconds for the 400-meters, and a 22’2” in the long jump and a 46’ 1.25” in the triple jump.
Standard is an explosive athlete.
