Super Bowl Sunday is always Walt Garrison Day to me. The former Oklahoma State Cowboy was always a Cowboy in the NFL and in real life.

STILLWATER – I was too young to really remember Walt Garrison’s playing days at Oklahoma State. The former Lewisville Fighting Farmers running back and linebacker was in Stillwater from the fall of 1962 through the fall of 1965. He then launched a nine-year NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys. He played in two Super Bowls going 1-1 with the winning one in 1971, a win over the Don Shula-led Miami Dolphins in old Tulane Stadium in New Orleans.
