STILLWATER – Eric Morris has his complete staff in Stillwater and now we know the salaries of each of his assistant coaches.
Morris met with the media last week for the first time since his introductory press conference, stating one of the main reasons he kept most of his staff from North Texas together.
I always think continuity in this sport is huge," said Morris. "It was really important for me to be able to bring the coaching staff over and you pick up where you left off. The biggest challenge for the coaching staff now and something that I've harped with those guys is we can't assume. We have to start with a blank slate and assume no one in your meeting room knows anything. That can be a little hectic."
The Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents approved the contracts back on January 30. You can compare OSU coaches’ salaries to those of OU coaches.
New defensive coordinator Skylar Cassity is the highest-paid assistant on the staff, and he and associate head coach/special teams coordinator and tight ends coach Drew Svoboda have each signed three-year deals, which run through Jan. 31, 2029. Each of the other assistants have contracts through the same date in 2028.
