STILLWATER – Fear not Oklahoma high school football fans, you won’t be missing any Friday night lights as Oklahoma State has no midweek Big 12 football games this upcoming season.
The Big 12 announced its midweek selections on Friday morning and the first year of the Eric Morris era won’t be on Thursdays or Fridays, at least in conference play.
2026 Big 12 Football Weekday Selections
Friday, Sept. 11 – Missouri at Kansas
Friday, Sept. 18 – Houston at Texas Tech
Friday, Oct. 9 – Iowa State at BYU
Friday, Oct. 30 – Baylor at UCF
Friday, Nov. 6 – TCU at Arizona
Friday, Nov. 13 – Houston at Colorado
Friday, Nov. 20 – Iowa State at UCF
Thursday, Nov. 26 – TCU at Texas Tech
Friday, Nov. 27 – West Virginia at Utah
This year’s football roster is nearly completely turned over. Morris and Co. have brought in 91 new players, including starting quarterback Drew Mestemaker. So while there haven’t been any conference wins the past two years, there’s a lot of fervor in Stillwater.
The Cowboys begin their 2026 season against Tulsa on Saturday, September 5th. It’s certainly possible this game could be moved up to either Thursday (3rd) or Friday (4th).
