STILLWATER – Jacie Hoyt and Co. just landed one of the best players out of the SEC in the transfer portal as Liv McGill just committed to Oklahoma State.
McGill is a 5-9 guard who’s coming off an incredible sophomore season with the Florida Gators where she was only one of three players in the country who averaged 20+ points, 6+ rebounds and 6+assists per game. Her totals were just over 22 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.1 assists and nearly three steals per game.
She finished the year second in the SEC in scoring, top five assists and top 10 in steals, as well as top 10 nationally in scoring and top 15 in assists. She also had 31-straight games with double-digit scoring.
Following the season, McGill was tabbed first team All-SEC and was AP and USBWA All-America honorable mention.
CBS Sports ranked McGill as the No. 2 overall prospect in the transfer portal, so this is a massive get for Jacie Hoyt and Co.
