STILLWATER – Oklahoma State junior outfielder Kollin Ritchie was tabbed Second Team All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Wednesday.

Ritchie, out of Atoka, OK, marks the 153rd All-American in program history and the 18th different player under head coach Josh Holliday to earn All-America honors.

This past season was one of the best hitting performances in the country as he hit .326 with 31 home runs, 13 doubles and 75 RBIs across 60 games, as well as 185 total bases with an .804 slugging percentage.

His numbers were good for top 10 in nearly every hitting category across the country:

  • Home runs – 3rd
  • Total bases – 5th
  • Runs (81) – 6th
  • Slugging percentage – 8th
  • RBIs – 12th

Ritchie’s 31 home runs are the second most in program history behind only Pete Incaviglia, who still holds the NCAA record with 48. He’s also the first Cowboy since 1999 to hit 30 or more home runs, and just one of four in program history.

He’s a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award and the Dick Howser Trophy, both given to the best player in college baseball.
