STILLWATER – You wonder why former Oklahoma State head coach and wrestling legend John Smith wanted no part of AJ Ferrari even as he won an individual NCAA Championship at Oklahoma State? Then wonder why neither Smith nor current Oklahoma State head coach David Taylor wanted nothing to do with Ferrari or any other wrestling member of the family? The answers have been clear over and over again. Now, the demise of AJ Ferrari continues in Lincoln County, Nebraska.

The former Nebraska, Cal-State Bakersfield, and OSU wrestler was booked on multiple charges Saturday after the Nebraska State Patrol saw Ferrari driving a Chevrolet Corvette on I-80 near North Platte, Neb. Friday night around 9:30 pm.

It gets much worse or better depending on how weird you like your stories about AJ Ferrari. The trooper attempted to stop Ferrari as the Corvette exited the Interstate and began traveling north toward Highway 30. He was still going at a high rate of speed, according to state patrol, Ferrari's vehicle was clocked at 110 mph in a 55 mph zone.

After the chase covered several miles, Ferrari stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. The NSP officer found identification inside the vehicle that confirmed it was driven by Ferrari. The total pursuit covered 11 minutes before Ferrari was caught and taken into custody.

Ferrari was booked on Saturday in Lincoln Co, Nebraska on multiple charges.

On Saturday, Lincoln County authorities booked Ferrari on charges of flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, and obstructing the police. He was later released on bond.

This is another is the long line of mishaps, brush ups with the law, and general nuisance involving Ferrari. Ferrari and University of Nebraska wrestling severed their relationship this past spring.

Like I told my oSu buddies: Has to be bad parenting, but after you almost off'd people in Okieville one would think, yeah, driving 100+ mph is not a good idea anywhere besides a race track. But what about Ferrari driving a Vette?

I do wish AJ gets his life in order before he offs himself or worse, someone else w/ his crazy driving habits. Plus I didn't know it, but he's back in the portal. Think any school w/ offer him after this???
