Oklahoma State and Arizona State Will Wrestle the Night Before Football Kickoff

STILLWATER – This would have been a great idea for Bedlam wrestling back in the day, but it will work out here too. It will also give Oklahoma State fans double the reason to follow the Cowboys to Tempe on the weekend of Nov. 20-21. The OSU football team will have company in Arizona.

"That’s right. We will wrestle #2 Oklahoma State on Friday and then we’ll play Oklahoma State in football the next day here at ASU too,” Arizona State wrestling coach Zeke Jones explained.”We’re expecting to break the ASU Wrestling vs. Penn State record of close to 10,000 fans. This will be a big weekend for the Sun Devil family."

it will be big for wrestling to piggy back off the attention of football. Arizona State has a chance to be in the mix in the Big 12, at least I think so. In the first season under new head coach Eric Morris and with the offensive star combination of quarterback Drew Mestemaker and running back Caleb Hawkins the Cowboys could be battling for bowl eligibility or more. Now those football stars are joined by the likes of Jax Forrest, Sergio Vega, Landon Robideau, and Ladarion Lockett.

Taht is a lot of college star power on the mat and the gridiron. Wrestling on Friday, Nov. 20 and football on Nov. 21. Times are TBA.

Also, Oklahoma State just announced on Thursday that they have sold out all reserved seating for season tickets. That is huge. There are still season tickets available in general admission and in the floor lounge area.
