Caleb Hawkins Named to the Walter Camp Player of the Year Watchlist
STILLWATER – Another day, another preseason watchlist selection for Oklahoma State as running back Caleb Hawkins was named to the Walter Camp Player of the Year watchlist on Monday.
The list features 41 offensive players, nine on the defensive side of the ball, with 11 running backs. The winner is not required to be on the watch list or named to the All-American team.
Hawkins came to Oklahoma State in the offseason from North Texas, where he had a breakout freshman season last year.
He rushed for 1,434 yards and 25 touchdowns on 231 carries, as well as 32 receptions for 370 yards and four touchdowns. He set the NCAA record for most touchdowns scored by a freshman, while his 29 total touchdowns and 25 rushing touchdowns led the FBS last season.
Hawkins has already been named to the 2026 Maxwell Award watch list and the 2026 Walter Camp Preseason All-America team.
The 10 semifinalists will be named in early November, three finalists in early December and the winner in the second week of December.
