STILLWATER – Oklahoma State running back Caleb Hawkins has racked up another preseason award nomination as he was named to the 2026 Doak Walker Award watch list.
This coming 24 hours after he was named to the 2026 Walter Camp Player of the Year watchlist. Hawkins is one of seven Big 12 players named to the watch list.
Hawkins came to Oklahoma State in the offseason from North Texas, where he had a breakout freshman season last year.
He rushed for 1,434 yards and 25 touchdowns on 231 carries, as well as 32 receptions for 370 yards and four touchdowns. He set the NCAA record for most touchdowns scored by a freshman, while his 29 total touchdowns and 25 rushing touchdowns led the FBS last season.
Hawkins was also named to the 2026 Maxwell Award watch list and the 2026 Walter Camp Preseason All-America team.
Hawkins is looking to become the second running back at Oklahoma State to win the Doak Walker Award as Ollie Gordon II won the award back in 2023.
The 10 semifinalists will be named in November, with the three finalists announced later in the month. The winner will be announced on the College Football Awards on December 10.
