STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has announced a second-straight sellout to start the season with the Murray State game coming up this weekend.

This is a bit of a surprise as it’s against a team that enters this game 2-13 in the past 15 games at the FCS level.  But there’s no doubt a 39-31 upset win over a then-ranked No. 6 Oregon team will certainly excite a fan base.

The Cowboys are now 1-1 on the season, having lost 24-10 to Tulsa in the season opener, but bounced back in the big way against the Ducks.

The Pokes combined for 554 yards of total offense, 317 yards through the air and 237 yards on the ground, for 6.7 yards per play, 5.9 yards per rush and 12.2 yards per completion.

Skyler Cassity’s defense was solid all day long against the Ducks as they held them to 281 yards of total offense, 191 through the air and just 90 yards on the ground. That equated to just three yards per rush, 4.8 yards per play and 13.6 yards per completion. Continuing the impressive numbers, they held the Ducks to just 59 total plays and 0-for-3 on 4thdown plays.

So, needless to say, fans want to watch these Pokes play football.

The Pokes and Races kickoff at 6 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN+.
