Oklahoma State Announces an Early Season OSU Wrestling Tournament Nov. 1

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State Wrestling will host the OSU Invitational Tournament, a double-elimination, bracketed competition featuring the Cowboys, Gardner Webb, Little Rock and SIU-Edwardsville, at Gallagher-Iba Arena on November 1 at 10 a.m. CT.

The Cowboys regularly wrestle Little Rock and have met four times recently with OSU 4-0. Oklahoma State has never wrestled Gardner-Webb in a dual, but have had wrestlers meet in tournaments. Oklahoma State has an 8-0 record over SIU-Edwardsville in duals with the last meeting in 2021.

The OSU Invitational is designed for revenue generation and is the first college tournament to be hosted at Gallagher-Iba Arena since 2021, when the Cowboys hosted the Cowboy Challenge Tournament featuring OSU, Missouri, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Oklahoma State Athletics

Oklahoma State has regularly scheduled Little Rock, coached by former Cowboy Neil Erisman but Gardner-Webb and SIU-Edwardsville have not been on the schedule in some time.

The event will have competition on three mats concurrently. Due to the number of mats on floor level and other tournament operational requirements, the event will not be part of the season ticket package. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase tickets at a discounted price before they go on sale to the public.

Head coach David Taylor and the Cowboys are coming off an impressive 2025-26 campaign in which OSU took home three individual NCAA titles and a second-place team finish at the NCAA Championships. All eight of last season's All-Americans return to the roster, as well as Dreshaun Ross, Jordyn Raney, Jayden Raney and a multitude of other freshman who are part of the No. 1-ranked recruiting class of 2026.

The OSU Invitational will be the first chance to see the Cowboys in action before they begin dual competition in early November.
