STILLWATER – We’re bringing back a fan favorite this week with Over/Under. What we do with this article is I give five stat predictions, two offensive, two defensive and one special teams, based in stats and you pick whether or not it will be Over/Under the number, or you can push it.

You can watch this week’s Zach’s Over/Under on YouTube here.

The Cowboys are set to host UCF this weekend for the first time. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. on ESPN 2.

Over/Under Drew Mestemaker Over/Under 350 passing yards

Drew is currently averaging 317 yards per game through five games but threw for 361 yards against Murray State and 389 yards against West Virginia.

As a team, the Knights are allowing just 223 passing yards per game. Can Drew and his receivers connect enough to clear 350 yards? I say yes. I think the Cowboy offense has been so incredibly dynamic the past four games and UCF have yet to face an offense like it. Wyatt Young, Justin Bowick and Miles Coleman have been a formidable receiving threat that Drew has been a great rapport within a short amount of time.

At home in the friendly confines of Boone Pickens Stadium, I believe Drew will go over 350 passing yards.

Over/Under two receiving touchdowns for Wyatt Young

While Wyatt Young currently leads the Pokes in receiving yards with 410, something I feel he’ll do on Saturday as well. Lead the team in receiving, not put up 410 yards. He’s second in touchdowns with three on the year, but he’s really come on strong as of late and I feel will use the open week to really turn up the pressure, especially at home. I’ll take the easy way out and say he pushes with two.

Over/Under seven solo stops for Ethan Wesloski

Ethan currently leads the team in total tackles on the season at 36, seven more than Tate Romney who sits in second with 29 total tackles. Now, those numbers are a little inflated as he recorded 17 total tackles against the Mountaineers, with the nine he had against Oregon the second on the list. He had seven against Tulsa and just three against Murray State as he didn’t play too much in that game. Can he put together at least seven solo stops against UCF I’m going to go out on a limb and say he has at least nine.

Over/Under five tackles for loss as a team

The Cowboys have had no trouble getting into the backfield as a team this season, combining for 20 overall on the season for a loss of 75 yards. The Knights have had great offensive line play through their first five games as they’ve allowed just eight tackles for loss. That’s the number of TFLs the Pokes had in the game against West Virginia and two fewer than OSU has allowed this season. Can the Cowboys combine for at least five tackles for loss on Saturday? I’m going to go all out and say they have at least six against the Knights.

Over/Under two field goals for Sam Keltner

Sam Keltner has been the best kicker in all of college football, not to mention one of the best kickers we’ve seen in Stillwater the past several years. He had four makes each against Oregon and West Virginia and one apiece with Tulsa and Murray State. Will OSU’s redzone offense or just the offense in general stall out enough to give Keltner a chance to make at least two field goals? I’ll go over and say he hits three.

While this isn’t an Over/Under pick, I think the Cowboys win this game comfortably beginning in the third quarter and pull away for a 45-21 win to go 4-1 overall on the year and 2-0 in Big 12 going into Houston next season.
