STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is set to host Colorado on Saturday, October 24 for America’s Greatest Homecoming. Looks like the rest of America is going to get a great chance to watch as the game is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on FS1.

Both the Pokes and the Buffs are coming off losses on Saturday, the Pokes 35-32 to No. 20 Houston and the Buffs a 27-24 squeaker to No. 11 Utah.

The Cowboys, who were ranked No. 18 in the AP Top 20 and No. 20 in the Coaches Poll, will most likely remain ranked going into this game, at least in the AP. It took the win against UCF for the coaches to rank the Cowboys.

This will also be the Pokes’ best chance of winning a Homecoming game in two seasons. Not that Colorado is a pushover opponent, taking Utah to the brink last night shows us the Buffs will be tough. No, the Cowboys will have a chance to win the game because of Drew Mestemaker and Co.

The Pokes are 3-0 at home, with wins over No. 6 Oregon 39-31, Murray State 59-0 and UCF 42-28. Just in Big 12 play, the Cowboys have one of the best offenses in the conference as they’re second in yards per game at 507.3 and first in scoring with 38.3. They’re 10th in rushing with 154.7 yards, but first by a significant margin in passing with 352.7 yards, with Arizona second in 285.

The Buffs are third in passing with 277.7 ypg and 10th in overall offense with 377 ypg. They’re third in defense allowing just 353 ypg, while the Pokes are 12th giving up 449 ypg. This will no doubt being a high-yardage and scoring affair.
