Oklahoma State Picks Up Two Big 12 Weekly Honors Following Colorado Win
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State picked up two more Big 12 weekly honors following the 57-24 blowout win over Colorado on Saturday. Corner Ladainian Fields was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week and kicker Sam Keltner the Special Teams Player of the Week.
Fields had one of the best games of his career in Stillwater on Saturday. He finished the game leading the team in tackles with eight, five of which were solo stops, 1.5 tackles for loss, one pass break up and two interceptions.
As for Keltner, he continues to be the best kicker in the country as he went 5-for-5 on field goals and 6-for-6 on extra points. He’s now 18-for-18 on field goals on the season and 28-for-28 on extra points. He leads the nation in both makes and percentage.
Both Fields and Keltner will have a chance to try and earn another weekly honor as the Pokes hit the road this weekend to Iowa State.
