STILLWATER – I can remember it like it was yesterday. All it takes is a return to Ames, Iowa or to hear “Sweet Caroline” and I’m instantly back in 2011 on that Friday night trying to follow quarterback Brandon Weeden through the mass of Cyclones fans to get off the field. That date was Nov. 18 and this narrow loss to Iowa State was on Halloween, but the weather was very similar. It was not a frigid night that year.
