STILLWATER – Get a nap next Saturday and line up the coffee and Red Bull because Oklahoma State and Texas Tech will be playing Big 12 football long after dark on Nov. 14. The television partners of the Big 12 put all of the eight games of the day on a six-day window until after the action on Saturday. The last result came after midnight in Lubbock as Texas Tech beat West Virginia 53-49.
Now, Oklahoma State at 6-3/4-2 in the Big 12 will host those late night Raiders 8-1/5-1 at 8:30 p.m. CT inside Boone Pickens Stadium on ESPN.
It is certainly the latest kickoff time for a Big 12 home game with Texas Tech or any other conference opponent of this era. The school was still researching all time. It is for sure the latest in the last 17 seasons. Oklahoma State did have a scheduled 9 p.m. kickoff in 2011 at Tulsa that because of storms and a delay did not kick until after midnight central time.
The latest game found as of this writing was the 2015 Bedlam game that kicked off at 7:21 p.m.
