Tylan Wallace Signs Rookie Deal With Baltimore Ravens
One day after his 22nd birthday, former Oklahoma State wide receiver, Tylan Wallace, has signed his rookie deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens drafted Wallace in the 4th round of this year’s NFL Draft and has already become a guy that the Baltimore fan base is enamored with. If you have followed Tylan through high school or college, this comes as no surprise, he is an extremely easy person to root for.
“Baltimore agreed to contract terms with its fourth-round pick (131st overall) before Wallace took the field for Friday's first practice of rookie minicamp,” said the Ravens in a release. “The talented wide receiver from Oklahoma State hopes to join first-round pick Rashod Bateman of Minnesota as two rookies who make an immediate impact as playmakers for Lamar Jackson.”
Overthecap.com lists that Wallace signed a four-year deal worth a total of $4,165,130, which comes out to $1,041,340 per year with a $660,000 base salary. The other $441,360 per year will come from signing bonus and other various bonuses.
“Tylan is living his NFL dream for both himself and his twin brother, determined to prove that he is healthy and a steal as a fourth-round pick. Wallace could have taken a safer approach to the 2020 season at Oklahoma State by opting out, continuing to rehab his knee, and preparing for the draft. But he played 10 games last year and finished with 59 catches for 922 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 15.6 yards per catch.”
Wallace becomes the 2nd of the four Cowboys drafted to sign his rookie deal, including Chuba Hubbard, who was the first OSU draft pick to ink his deal.
