A report out Thursday has NBC Sports as a possible player for Big Ten media rights and that could change some things as the Pac-12 and Big-12 prepare to negotiate new deals as well.

A subscriber reached out and asked me for my thoughts hough even ton conference realignment he knew that some folks would jump in and rip me for them. I've never cared about that, so here they are.

Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby came out on Wednesday with a response to the ACC, Big Ten, and Pac-12 announcing their new "alliance."

The Alliance has been announced and the Big 12 is not part of it. Not now, but could they be added piecemeal later? We'll see, but the alliance right now doesn't mean much for OSU.

The ACC, Big Ten, and Pac-12 are kind of playing the role of the Avengers as they are coming together to save college athletics from the Evil Empire of the SEC.

I still don't believe it changes a lot for Oklahoma State, but Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic has been spot on with her reporting and she says the alliance will be announced Tuesday.

The story of the late summer and the kickoff to college football has been more about where schools will be in the future rather than the match-ups for Week Zero and Week One. It continues with specualtion about the alliance and the Pac-12.
