Oklahoma State 2023 Signee Brandon Garrison Tabbed McDonald's All-American
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has another incoming McDonald’s All-American as four-star signee Brandon Garrison was named to the West roster of the 2023 McDonald’s All-American game on Tuesday.
He joins an impressive list of former Cowboy hoopers who earned the distinction, including Byron Eaton, Cade Cunningham, Gerald Green (went pro), Jawun Evans, Le’Bryan Nash and Marcus Smart.
Garrison checks in at 6-9 and is the highlight of the 2023 signing class for Mike Boynton and Co. He’s the No. 30th overall prospect in the ESPN top 100, up six spots from signing day.
He averaged a double-double this past season as a junior for Del City with 13 points and 10 rebounds a game, as well as 1.4 blocks during his junior season. He was also a pivotal member of USA Basketball’s U18 FIBA team that won a gold medal this summer, averaging six points and 4.3 rebounds, while shooting 81% from the field.
"Brandon is the state's best prospect,” coach Boynton said in the signing day release. “He's very accomplished having already won a state championship and a gold medal as a member is the USA U18 team in summer 2022. Brandon is a great rebounder and maybe the best passing post player in the country. His impact will be a great one from the moment he arrives in Stillwater. Brandon has been developed by a host of great coaches in both high school and AAU."
