Former Oklahoma State Star Justin Blackmon on 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot

STILLWATER – One of the greatest Oklahoma State Cowboys to ever grace Lewis Field and Boone Pickens Stadium is once again on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame. It was announced on Monday Justin Blackmon is back on the ballot for the second-straight year.

Blackmon is the second player in the history of the Biletnikoff Award to have won it twice, joining Michael Crabtree, which makes Cowboy football as one of only nine college programs to have multiple award winners and only one of three schools to have won it three times (along with Alabama and Pittsburgh.)

Blackmon had a stellar career with the Cowboys. Spending just three seasons in Stillwater, Blackmon racked up 3,564 total receiving yards and 40 touchdowns, with his breakout season being his sophomore season with 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns. His junior campaign was nearly just as good as he hauled in 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns, effectively cementing him as one of the greatest college receivers of all-time.

Should he be inducted this year, Blackmon would be the eighth Oklahoma State member in the Hall of Fame, joining last year’s inductee Terry Miller, as well as Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Leslie O’Neal, Bob Fenimore and coaches Lynn “Pappy” Waldorf and Jimmy Johnson.
