Publisher’s Note - This is the first in a two-part series on new Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Bryan Nardo. The first goes back to him being interviewed by Mike Gundy and defensive staffers and being hired. The second is on Nardo’s preparation and excitment for his first season at Oklahoma State and as a Division I coordinator.

STILLWATER – Bryan Nardo was so agreeable and accommodating.

Robert, pretty sure you meant Shippensburg, not Slippery Rock (re: Yurcich).

Once upon a time Disney was a very "positive" influence on children. Now, not so much. Having thrown in with the whole trans movement, their stock is in trouble and their most recent movies have been money losers. Sad really.

If he's truly as bright, personable and capable as is speculated and discussed, perhaps we're seeing a successor down the line 5 or 6 years future. I have to think NIL, recruiting, etc. will wear on Gundy at some point. And he should be pretty financially set/satisfied at some point. Finding and honing a very good successor would be a final act of caring and security for OSU by Gundy.

I'm glad to hear that he is a good teacher, because the entire defensive staff and players need to learn the odd front. I also hope that he is a good student, as Knowles did some really good stuff with the even front. In the end he will also need to be a good play selector. Knowles was a master. You have to know when to call what. The guy from Auburn, not so much. He had Knowles playbook and most of the same players, but it didn't look the same.

Here's hoping!

Not quite, Isreal Antwine, Malcolm Rodriguez, Devin Harper, Christian Holmes, Jarrick Bernard Convverse (LSU in 2022) were all key parts of the 2021 defense and are currently on NFL rosters!!!
