Mike Gundy celebrated his 56th birthday with his football team inside Boone Pickens Stadium for a first full scrimmage minus tackling to the ground.

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy celebrated his birthday as he turned 56-years-old inside Boone Pickens Stadium watching, and somewhat directing the situations, in a nearly two hour scrimmage with his football team. Gundy, who always sees his birthday come up during fall camp seemed happy with what he saw based on the comments here to the media.

Minor thing, but I'm pretty sure Gundy turned 56 vs 58 today. We were the same grade/ age growing up & playing sports against each other in mid-del school system & I am 55.

Plus, he was a 40 year old man in Sept 2007, or 16 years ago. 40 + 16 = 56.
