Postgame Notes

• For the fourth time this season, De’Zhaun Stribling led the team in receiving yards, hauling in seven catches for 157 yards and a touchdown. With the performance, he became the first Cowboy to have multiple games of 150+ receiving yards in the team’s first five contests since Justin Blackmon during the 2010 season.
• Brennan Presley recorded six receptions for 70 yards against Kansas State. Here’s a look at where Presley now stands in multiple program-record lists:
• Moved into second place for career receptions with 258, passing Justin Blackmon (253) and sitting 35 behind Rashaun Woods for the top spot.
• Passed Rashaun Woods (4,424) and Chuba Hubbard (4,490) to occupy seventh place in career all-purpose yards at 4,521.
• Returned three kickoffs to tie Rafael Denson for fifth-most at 54.
• Had three punt returns on the day, increasing his career total to 51 and moving into ninth.
• Oklahoma State jumped out to a 10-7 lead early in the second quarter thanks to De’Zhaun Stribling’s 77-yard touchdown pass from Alan Bowman, which was set up by a flea-flicker in the backfield. It marked the longest catch of Stribling’s career and was just shy of Talyn Shettron’s 78-yard touchdown against Tulsa for OSU’s longest scoring play of the season.
• In the second quarter, Korie Black stepped in front of an Avery Johnson pass for his second interception of the season and the third of his career. Oklahoma State entered the game atop the Big 12 and top 20 nationally with five interceptions through its first four games.
• Alan Bowman surpassed 10,000 career passing yards on Saturday as he finished the game with 364 yards and one touchdown through the air.
• Trey Rucker added 10 more tackles against the Wildcats, marking his fourth game this season with a double-digit total. He entered Saturday’s game second in the nation with 53 total tackles.
• The Cowboy offensive line did not allow a sack on Saturday despite Kansas State entering the game with the most sacks per game in the Big 12. It was OSU’s fourth time this season without a sack allowed and the 10th in its past 15 games. The Cowboys are also one of two Power Conference teams with less than two sacks allowed in 2024.
• Nick Martin and Kendal Daniels both eclipsed 200 career tackles after racking up totals of eight and seven, respectively, on Saturday.
• After the first 15 minutes of play, Ollie Gordon II boasted nine rushes for 72 yards, the most by a Cowboy in a single quarter this season. He added one reception to give him 10 touches for 85 total yards.
• Trent Howland found the end zone for the first time as a Cowboy, running 14 yards for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. It was the third rushing score of his career.
• Ayo Shotomide-King hauled in a 13-yard pass from Alan Bowman in the second quarter for the first catch of his FBS career.
• Kobe Hylton made the first start of his Cowboy career on Saturday after starting 22 games at UTEP, while true freshman Landyn Cleveland played in his first career game.
