Homecoming 2024 Walk Around Draws Another Amazing Crowd, University Ave. Packed
STILLWATER – The streets around campus from Campus Corner down University all the way to west end of the Greek houses and cross streets like Monroe and Washington (the Strip) were packed on Friday night (Nov. 1) for the annual Homecoming Walk Around. An estimated 70,000 people cruised up and down the closed streets to check out the house decorations that the fraternities and sororities worked painstakingly to create. The competition phase of Homecoming as gone on all week and will contineu before announcements of the winners at the Homecoming football game on Saturday.
Oklahoma State is hosting Arizona State, the new Big 12 member has played in Stillwater twice before and is 1-1 at Oklahoma State. OSU is 3-2 overall in the series with the Sun Devils. This is the first time they have played at Oklahoma State as the Homecoming opponent. The game is now scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. instead of the previously scheduled 6 p.m. Weather and forecasts of heavy rain and possibly thunderstorms is the reason for the time change.
