Oklahoma State Lands South Carolina Transfer Edge Wendell Gregory

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has just landed a commitment from an edge rusher from the SEC. On Thursday, it was announced South Carolina edge rusher, Wendell Gregory, has committed to the Pokes out of the transfer portal.
Pokes Report has learned Gregory will be in Stillwater this weekend on a visit. Robert Allen spoke with him on Friday evening and he confirmed the commitment and the official visit starting on Friday. It will be quick as he said he will leave on Saturday morning before the scheduled spring game.
“We gonna turn things up at Oklahoma State,” he told us by phone. “I can’t wait to get there.”
He did say he would do a full interview with us, but wants to wait until he has finished his official visit.
Gregory, originally out of Walton HS and Marietta, GA, checks in at 6-3, 245 pounds, and is coming off a redshirt season with South Carolina. He played in two games before redshirting, playing against Akron and Wofford, recording one tackle against the Zips.
He was a four-star prospect out of high school in the 2024 class, and an early enrollee at South Carolina, meaning he’s more physically ready for college as he spent the offseason with the Gamecocks before the summer and fall.
He graduated from Walton in December of 2023 after a senior season where he recorded 56 total tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss, seven sacks and 14 quarterback hurries.
Gregory marks the fifth commitment out of the portal for the Pokes, joining Georgia State running back Freddie Brock, Emory and Henry (DII) receiver Cameron Abshire, Marshall wide receiver Christian Fitzpatrick and Appalachian State offensive tackle, Markell Samuel.
Some portal analysts believe Gregory is one of the top edge rushing talents in the transfer portal this cycle.
