STILLWATER – Pokes Report can confirm Oklahoma State has dismissed transfer safety, Zaquan Patterson. The news was first reported by On3’s Brett McMurphy.
Patterson was actually dismissed from the program on Saturday and tried to get back on the team on Sunday but was told by the coaching staff it wasn’t going to work out. Pokes Report has also learned Patterson wasn’t on the two-deep at the end of fall camp and wasn’t expected to make an impact playing this fall.
He went to Miami out of Chaminade-Madonna High School in Hollywood, Fla., and played in 12 games last season for the Hurricanes, recording 19 total tackles, 12 of which were solo stops, before going into the transfer portal this spring.
Patterson was the No. 19 player in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Florida in the 2024 recruiting class according to Rivals.
