The biggest headline of Tuesday’s 53-roster finalization is in Los Angeles where the Rams have cut one of the most productive receivers in the NFL the entire preseason in Brennan Presley. The Oklahoma State all-time leading receiver by receptions and a high school standout at Bixby, finished the preseason with 11 receptions on 13 targets for 164 yards, at 14.9 yds. per catch, and a touchdown vs. the Dallas Cowboys. His longest reception, a 40-yarder, set up the winning touchdown vs. the Los Angeles Chargers in week two.

Presley had rushed for 38-yards on five carries this preseason and had two kickoff returns for a total of 45 yards. In the preseason finale at Clevleand, a 19-17 loss to the Browns, Presley had three rushes for 23 yards and three receptions for 51 yards on three targets.

The Rams hope to get Presley back for their 16-member practice squad, but I don’t think there is a chance as somebody will be bold enough to claim the 5-8, 174 pound undrafted rooke free agent.

The Rams also cut former Oklahoma State corner A.J. Green and they waived second-year wide receiver Drake Stoops of Oklahoma and a son of former OU head coach Bob Stoops.

Here’s the complete list of former OSU players who made the 53-man roster of their respective teams.

After making it as a rookie, defensive tackle Tyler Lacy was cut by Jacksonville.

Ahead of the 53-man roster deadline on Tuesday, August 26, defensive back Tre Flowers was released by the Chicago Bears. He had just five total tackles, three of which were solo stops, with three pass break ups.

Flowers was drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 draft by the Seattle Seahawks, and has played for a number of teams, including Cincinnati, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Indianapolis and Chicago.

Wide receiver Rashod Owens was waived by the Cincinnati Bengals, with the hope either the Bengals or another team might claim him. But Owens struggled to make any ground as he had just three receptions for 25 yards on five targets.

Staying in Ohio, the Cleveland Browns waived corner Christian Holmes. He was signed last week to try and fill a spot, but couldn’t climb the depth chart.

Receiver Tay Martin was released by the Washington Commanders on Tuesday. Other early cuts on Tuesday included Joe Michalski being waived by the Devnver Broncos. Meanwhile, tackle Dalton Cooper is still with the Kansas City Chiefs.

I usually root for the NFL team with the most Pokes on it, but that's a sorry list of teams right there.... maybe I'll pick a team after the practice players are added back in...

Which team is short on receivers?
