STILLWATER – There is now officially just one transfer portal window for college football as the NCAA Administrative Committee adopted the proposal to eliminate the spring transfer portal window.
This moves away from the previous 30-day window across the winter and spring that allowed players to enter their names into the portal.
The NCAA oversight committee will still have to vote on to details of the one portal window, which will include the exact dates the winter portal will be open.
While there were more than 1,000 players who took advantage of the spring portal, including more than 10 added to the Oklahoma State roster, this is the right move as coaches won’t have to worry about having to fight to keep the roster together twice in less than six months.
Just looking at the Cowboys’ two-deep depth chart, 18 players were added in the December portal window and 10 in the spring portal window. Here are those 28 players listed below.
