Oklahoma State Athletic Director Chad Weiberg was all over the country on Saturday. He wasn't interviewing choices, but he was keeping tabs on them.

STILLWATER – On the bus ride from Acrisure Bounce House to Orlando International Airport, I looked back on the bus to Oklahoma State University athletic director and Vice-President of athletics Chad Weiberg. He had a smile on his face despite the crushing 17-14 loss in football an hour or so earlier to UCF. But it was a long day for Weiberg as he started his day in Columbia, Mo.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
"... actively making decisions and directing the program is as big a part of the goal as the right guy"

that statement sounds as silly the 10th time as it did the first time.... SMH

The right guy is THE ONLY consideration (or dang well should be).... everything else is manageable.

If we don't get the right guy, then how fast he starts or what decisions he makes are absolutely pointless.

Eric Morris should be #1 on the list.

Hope you are right. I'm fine with either Golesh or Morris, though I lean Golesh.

Like usual, I see you throwing around lots of platitudes, but never an actual opinion. Who are you hiring?

I'll take either. I'll be optimistic either way. Or with one of the other guys that have been mentioned along the way, as long as their experience is as a HEAD coach. I'll take a pass on any "up and coming coordinator". Hopefully Chad stays away from that.

don't attack me... I'm not required to have an opinion, but I am entitled to expect the best results.

and why isn't "picking the right guy is most important" not an opinion in your mind?

you can post better than directing your frustrations at me personally.

this guy's site just pushed Morris to the top of the Arkansas search, I guess we'll see

looks like he's got Klein moving to the top for OSU, but this is based on where folks are placing their money...

Morris would be nuts to go to Arkansas IMO. They can probably offer more dough, but the recent history shows that job is skating on thin ice.

Of course we all want the "right guy", that isn't exactly an opinion. Just curious who you think should be the hire.

"I believe he played himself out of contention anyway, despite what other may feel about the situation" was your quote after a recent USF loss, so you clearly DO have an opinion.

It's definitely a tougher job to win at compared to OSU when factoring in competition. They may offer a higher salary and a bigger player budget, so we will see what certain candidates value more highly. There are so many job openings out there now that I'm waiting for more dominoes to fall first which should start happening this weekend.

you've taken that out of context trying to bait me...... that quote was only between the two RA choices that were being discussed.

I do not have a preference, but I abhor "settling". We might just as well leave the B12 and join the American if we're going to be relegated to settling. I did say early on if timing was really the issue, then we should be going after Franklin. (VT was able to land him, why not OSU? He demanded their boosters and fans donate much more)

anyway... we'll know is about a week, then we'll all move on from there.
