It should not be allowed... that is just feeding into the tampering scenario that is supposed to be against the rules.
STILLWATER – We’re less than a week removed from the end of the 2025 season and roster moves are already starting to happen. It was reported on Tuesday morning sophomore safety Landyn Cleveland is planning to enter the transfer portal.
Cleveland confirmed the news via his social media accounts.
Cleveland is originally out of Mansfield (TX) Legacy and was a four-star prospect out of the 2024 class. He chose the Pokes over several other P4 schools, including Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, Houston, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, OU, Ole Miss, Penn State, SMU, Texas, Texas Tech and TCU.
This past season as a true sophomore, Cleveland played in all 12 games, recording 33 total tackle, 17 of which were solo stops, 1.5 tackles for loss, two pass break ups, one QBH and one blocked kick.
Another reported player set to enter the portal is freshman safety Jotavion Pierce. Pierce redshirted this past season and didn’t play in any games.
While the portal will open back up in January, expect to see several other players announce they’re entering the portal. We’ll have a transfer portal tracker up soon.
