Oklahoma State's Season Comes to An End With 87-68 Loss to UCLA
Oklahoma State’s season came to an end Monday night with an 87-68 loss to No. 2 UCLA in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
With the loss, the Cowgirls finished the season with a 24-10 overall record and 12-6 in Big 12 play.
The Cowgirls weren’t able to overcome a bad first quarter of play as they trailed the No. 1 overall seed 21-6.
"We did not get off to the start we wanted to," Hoyt said. "When you take out that first quarter, we went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the country."
But they were great the final three quarters as it was 66-62 in favor of the Bruins.
Starter Achol Akot and Jadyn Wooten off the bench were great for the Pokes as Akot finished with 23 points and three rebounds, while Wooten finished with 18 points, six assists and three rebounds.
